Backerkit Survey Information
Hello! Hope you had an awesome week! We've been working like crazy getting everything ready for production (and having a blast the whole way!). Kickstarter has finished their end of the process and we've been putting the final touches on the BackerKit surveys, which will start being sent out today.
An initial test batch will be sent out to 5% of our backers to make sure that everything is working correctly in the system. Then over the next few days, the remaining surveys will be sent out in batches.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you'd like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT DICE TOWERS: We are offering add-ons consisting of 1, 2, 4, and 6 custom dice towers. Whether you add them on in Backerkit, or you already added one of the above options on during the Kickstarter, you will select which dice tower design(s) you want in your survey, if you don't see the option, keep clicking "next", we promise the option will show up.
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final count. Surveys will remain open until December 14th, and will close on the 15th so we can lock the final counts for production.
Due to the volatility of shipping (and sales tax/ VAT) prices globally right now, shipping (and sales tax/VAT) fees for this project will be calculated at a later date once we have the best estimates for everyone. We plan to enter & charge backers for shipping and sales tax/ VAT a month or two before fulfillment when we have better estimates of what it will cost to ship backers rewards. Your card will be charged once around December 15th for any add-ons you add through BackerKit, then once more in August/September for sales tax/VAT (where applicable), and shipping. We will alert backers when shipping costs are finalized & before we charge your cards in your BackerKit survey. We will keep you all informed along the way!
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you used your Apple ID to log in to Kickstarter, the BackerKit surveys will not be able to send to your Apple ID. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please email me at [email protected].

Zoey and I want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! Over the course of 27 days, Camping Season has been 5,303% funded with $265,135 raised from 2,597 backers. We can't express how much we appreciate each and every one of you. We are already hard at work getting the manufacturing process started, so we can get you your game as soon as possible!
Next Steps: The Pledge Manager and Shipping
We will be using BackerKit to manage pledges and shipping/fulfillment costs after the campaign. Due to the current volatility of shipping costs, shipping payments will be collected in Backerkit well after the end of the campaign, close to our shipping date, and will be based on actual shipping costs incurred. This will allow us to present the most accurate and up-to-date prices to pass savings onto you, our valued backers! Here's how it will work:
1. You will receive an email from BackerKit a few weeks from now to confirm your pledge and add any additional items you would like. In the BackerKit survey, you will be able to:
- Confirm your pledge.
- Add any additional items you would like to get.
2. A few weeks before fulfillment (before we ship the game to you), you will receive another email from Backerkit. In the second Backerkit survey, you will be able to:
- Pay for shipping costs on the spot.
- Pay for taxes/VAT (if applicable) on the spot as well.
We are here to help!
We'll be sending updates at different milestones during production and shipping so you all know where we're at during the process. This is the part of Kickstarter campaigns where there are A LOT of moving parts. We've backed enough projects to know that things can get messy, slip through the cracks or just plain get mixed up, but we want everyone to know that we are here to help and will make absolutely certain that each and every one of you gets the products from your order. We are 12 days in and the support you all have shown in that time is unbelievable! We are 4,344% funded with $217,213 raised from over 2,050 backers! We are so grateful for every one of you, and are excited to share more about the latest stretch goal that was unlocked!
Animal Tokens
40 Animal Tokens will be added to the game! These tokens will be punchboard in the Retail Edition and wooden in the Deluxe Edition. The animals will range from deer to moose, elk, rabbits, foxes, raccoons, and even bears!
These tokens will give your campers the opportunity to spot wildlife throughout your campground! Players will gain these tokens from New Season Cards, adding them to their Guest Bags. If a player pulls an Animal Token from their bag during Phase 5, they may place it on one of their Campground Tiles, as long as that tile has 1 or less Guest Tokens on it (too many campers around will scare off the wildlife). The Animal Token will count for 3 points during Phase 6. There's a limit of 1 Animal Token per Campground Tile.
If the tile you choose to place the Animal Token on currently has no guests on it, you may place up to 1 guest on that tile during Phase 5, instead of 3. The Animal Tokens will be helpful if you have a feeling that you won't be able to fill one of your Campground Tiles, knowing the type of guests you have in your bag. If you don't want to place the Animal Token, you may instead place it off to the side. Either way, it doesn't count towards your capacity, and it will be discarded at the end of the season.
We'll be sure to share the artwork for these tokens once we have them completed. We are so excited to add these tokens to the game, and couldn't have made it possible without your help! Thank you! :)
Next Stretch Goal
Possibly our favorite part of the game; the Amenity Cards! If we hit $250,000 we'll add 2 additional, unique cards. These cards are so much fun to collect and build thanks to the incredible artwork by Serene Illustrations! We can't wait for you to see them all!

We can't put into words how blown away we are at the overwhelming support from yesterday! So far we are 3,105% funded with $155,275 raised from over 1,500 backers! We cannot begin to thank you all enough, and it's amazing to see how many passionate fans of nature there are in the world!
We want to start off with the most important update, which involves the dice towers! You have spoken, and we have heard you! And thanks to the amazing start yesterday, we are so excited to announce that we are able to offer the dice tower packs to be custom bundles, meaning you will be able to choose which of the 6 dice tower designs you'd like with your pack of 2 or 4. This selection process will happen in the pledge manager after the campaign is over.
We also wanted to share a better view of the towers, so below are rendered gifs of each tower design in action! *There are tilted ramps inside each tower to help shake the dice.
On top of that, you've also unlocked one of our stretch goals, which adds an extra solo-mode scenario to the Solo-Mode Rulebook! YAY!
Our next stretch goal will add Animal Tokens to the game! This way, your guests can spot wildlife throughout your campground. Be sure to share the Kickstarter link to your social media to help get the word out. That way we can unlock as many stretch goals as possible! :)
